Trust & safety
Buying and renting safely
The platform helps you find and compare. It does not hold your money or transfer ownership, so the checks below are yours to make.
- Meet at the seller’s premises or a busy public place, in daylight.
- Check that the registration document matches the chassis number on the vehicle.
- Take a test drive with the seller. Never pay a deposit before it.
- Pay by a traceable method to the registered owner or business, not cash in a car park.
- Run your own title search with the land authority before paying anything.
- Walk the boundaries with the seller and confirm them against the documents.
- Check access, water and electricity yourself rather than relying on the description.
- Use a notary for the transfer. Never hand over cash for a plot on a handshake.
- View the property in person before paying a deposit.
- Ask for a written lease that states the deposit amount and when it is returned.
- Confirm who the landlord or registered agent is, and ask for identification.
- Be careful with prices far below similar listings nearby.
What our badges do and do not cover
A badge says that our team made one specific check on a stated date. It is not a government guarantee, a legal title search, a valuation or an inspection. Ownership and identity documents are never shown publicly.
What each badge meansCommon warning signs
- The seller asks for a deposit or “reservation fee” before you have seen the asset.
- The seller cannot meet, or pushes you to decide today.
- The documents do not match the asset, or the seller refuses to show them.
- The price is far below similar listings, or you are asked to pay to a personal mobile-money number you cannot verify.
A report button on each listing is not available yet.
